Introduction to Abney's Ecology

  • Abney Park Cemetery, Abney Park Cafe Stoke Newington High Street London, England, N16 0LH United Kingdom (map)

Join Abney Park Trust for a walk through this special site and an introduction its ecology and why it matters.

In 1993, Abney was designated at Hackney’s first local nature reserve, reflecting the importance of the site’s ecology, as a central London woodland, as a place where the fallen trees allow fungi to flourish and one where invertebrates can find a home. 33 years later, with Hackney Council declaring a climate emergency in 2019, the ecology of the site is even more important, and even more under threat.

So that we can manage numbers we need you to book to come on this tour but we are not charging for tickets. We would however appreciate a donation.
